The Naftali Group-developed, ODA Architecture-designed 316 Bergen Street, aka The Bergen, has begun leasing, Brownstoner reports, with studios starting at $2,169, one-bedrooms at $2,608, and two-bedrooms at $3,996. The units, of which there are now photographs, are straight out of central casting for New Brooklyn Luxury Rentals, which is not to say that they look unpleasant.
The building contains 84 units according to the official website, almost double what was planned back when the site was a Karl Fischer project that never got off the ground. (Naftali bought it in 2012.) Amenities include a concierge service, gym, doorman, lounge, roof deck and courtyard, which, a Brownstoner commenter says, “does look beautiful,” so it’s got that going for it. The site is located across the street from a Shell gas station, which, if current trends are any indication, means that it will have another luxury residential building to keep it company before too long
